CPC stops intake of oil to tanks of Black Sea terminal

MOSCOW, Feb 22 (PRIME) -- Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has stopped the intake of oil from the Tengiz field in Kazakhstan and pumping of oil to the Black Sea terminal’s oil tanks because there is no more room, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

Bad weather made CPC stop oil pumping into the tankers in the Black Sea on February 19.

“As of February 22, 2023, the intake of oil into the CPC pipeline system from the Tengiz deposit at the Tengiz oil pumping station was stopped as a result of overstocking. Oil pumping to the oil tank farm of CPC’s sea terminal was stopped,” the statement read.

The Atyrau oil pumping station in Kazakhstan and the Komsomolskaya oil pumping station in Russia continue receiving oil in smaller amounts.
